Peel Group Foundation Impact Report

2 July 2026Back to news

The Peel Group Foundation has published its first Impact Report, sharing information on the charities it has been supporting over recent years across the North West and the Isle of Man.

The report brings together a summary of our charity partners and the work they are delivering, highlighting projects that are helping people and communities in different ways - from improving wellbeing and creating opportunities for young people to delivering cultural activity and environmental initiatives.

The Peel Group Foundation’s support extends across a mix of organisations, from larger regional charities to smaller, community-led groups. This includes long-standing support for The Christies Charity, where funding has helped provide a dedicated psychological support service for young cancer patients, offering one-to-one and group therapy during treatment and recovery and helping them manage the emotional impact of a diagnosis.

Alongside this, the report highlights community-led projects such as the Leigh Youth and Community Development Trust’s Inspiring Minds Programme.  With the support from the Foundation, the programme delivers targeted assistance for children and young people with neurodiverse conditions, as well as their families.  It offers safe spaces and ongoing support, playing a pivotal role in improving wellbeing and building confidence across the Leigh and Wigan area.  Uniquely position within the community, these services are not available elsewhere and provide a vital lifeline for local families.
