Peel Group Foundation Impact Report

The Peel Group Foundation has published its first Impact Report, highlighting the work of charity partners that are making a difference to people and communities across the North West and the Isle of Man.

From supporting young cancer patients through treatment and recovery to helping children with neurodiverse conditions build confidence and thrive, the charities supported by the Foundation are delivering vital services that improve lives every day.

The Foundation works with a diverse range of organisations, from established regional charities to smaller, community-led groups, supporting projects focused on wellbeing, opportunities for young people, culture, community development and the environment.

This includes The Christie Charity, where funding has helped provide a dedicated psychological support service for young cancer patients. The service offers one-to-one and group therapy throughout treatment and recovery, helping young people manage the emotional impact of a diagnosis and supporting their long-term wellbeing.

One of the Foundation’s beneficiaries, Leigh Youth and Community Development Trust's Inspiring Minds Programme. provides targeted support for children and young people with neurodiverse conditions and their families. Through safe spaces, specialist activities and ongoing support, it plays a vital role in improving wellbeing and building confidence across the Leigh and Wigan area. Uniquely positioned within the community, these services are not available elsewhere and provide a lifeline for local families.

While working in different sectors and communities, the Foundation's charity partners share a common goal: creating positive change and helping people reach their potential. The Impact Report showcases some of their stories and recognises the difference they are making every day.

Kate Holland, Peel Group Foundation Trustee, said:

"This report is really about recognising the incredible charities we have the privilege to support. From long-standing partners and projects connected to Peel, such as The Christie Charity, RHS Garden Bridgewater and Embassy Village, through to smaller community-based organisations delivering vital local services, each one is making a meaningful difference to people's lives.

The charities we work with show an extraordinary level of commitment, dedication and care for those they support. We're proud to work alongside them and to celebrate the impact they are having in communities across the North West and the Isle of Man."
