Inspiring Minds programme helps young people like Fraser thrive

A powerful new video highlights the life-changing impact of the Inspiring Minds Programme, delivered by Leigh Youth & Community Development Trust's A Team Hub, showcasing how young people and their families are being supported to build confidence, resilience and brighter futures. The programme provides early intervention support for children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism and ADHD, as well as support for their parents and carers.

One of the young people featured in the film is Fraser, whose journey demonstrates the difference that targeted support and understanding can make. Through the Inspiring Minds Programme, Fraser has been able to access personalised support designed to help him navigate the challenges associated with his condition, improve his wellbeing and develop strategies to help him succeed both at home and in everyday life.

A whole family approach

The Inspiring Minds Programme takes a whole-family approach, recognising that support is often needed not only for the young person but also for their parents, siblings and caregivers. Through a combination of one-to-one sessions, group activities, workshops and wellbeing support, families are given practical tools and guidance to help them overcome challenges and build confidence for the future.

Delivered from the A Team Hub in Leigh, the programme works closely with schools, health professionals and family support networks to ensure participants receive joined-up support. Activities include talking groups, physical activity sessions, sensory-based activities, educational workshops and parent support sessions, all aimed at improving mental wellbeing and helping young people reach their full potential.
